Awarded annually, on application, to a successful applicant for full-time or part-time postgraduate study in English Language.

Bader Bursaries . 12 available @ GBP 2,000

Drs Alfred & Isabel Bader fund these bursaries to encourage students to undertake chemistry degree programmes who might otherwise be unable to do so. The bursaries are tenable for 4 years.

The bursaries are awarded to students who, while meeting the academic requirements for entry to the School of Chemistry, are most in need of financial support. Although the main criterion will be significant financial need, other personal or family circumstances which may make it difficult to attend University will also be taken into account

Edinburgh UK/EU Postgraduate Adult Returner Bursaries. 6 available @ GBP 3,000

Intended to assist with child-care costs to UK and EU students who are returning to Higher Education study at the University of Edinburgh after a break of at least 3 years.
Bursaries will be awarded for one year in the first instance, however successful applicants pursuing a postgraduate degree programme of more than one year in length will be eligible to apply for a further bursary in subsequent years.


Eligibility
The bursaries will be awarded to mature UK/EU citizens who are returning to higher education after at least three years away from university. Applicants should already have been offered a full-time postgraduate place at the University of Edinburgh (in any study discipline) and should have firmly accepted that offer.

The bursary will be available to help towards the cost of registered or formal childcare, particularly assisting single parents. Formal childcare includes childminders, after school clubs and providers of day-care and education.
